Mothers are the only ones in this world who always take care of her family, and it’s our responsibility to take care of her and her health as well. Most of the mothers find difficulties in their lifestyles which can be a symptom of the disease that can be mild and easily avoided. They even keep ignoring the medical test which is mandatory and should be done timely.

Medical test you should ask your mother to take to keep her healthy 

Mammogram Test

 Most women die due to the disease of breast cancer, and a survey observed that approximately 15% of women die due to this disease worldwide. A mammogram test is the most important test for women as it helps for screening the test for breast cancer. It can detect breast cancer up to one to two years before the mother or doctor can felt the tumor. Women age from 40 or older who are at average risk of breast cancer should have a mammogram once or twice a year. Women at high risk should have a mammogram test along with an MRI starting at age 25 – 30.

Bone Mineral Density (BMD) Test

Osteoporosis is a disease that weakens women’s bones, making them fragile and more likely to break. It is also a kind of “silent disease” because it can develop gradually over many years without causing any symptoms. This test enhances the accuracy of calculating your risk of breaking bones. This test uses X-rays that measure how many grams of calcium and other bone minerals packed into a segment of bone. The bones commonly tested are in the spine, hip, thigh, and sometimes in the forearm. A proper diet and an appropriate treatment must be taken after this test by women to prevent them from diving into osteoporosis.

Pap smear

As part of this test, doctors/gynae swabs some cervical cells to deduct pre-cancerous cells. It is important for every mother post 30.

Urinary Tract Infection Test

It is an infection that can affect any part of the urinary system ranging from the urethra, bladder, and kidneys. UTI are more prevalent in women, and they are at higher risks compared to men. If the infection spreads to the kidney and nearby organs, then some severe consequences can occur. UTI can be treated with antibiotics typically, but women must take a UTI test if they face symptoms like high fever, blood in urine, lower abdomen discomfort, etc.

Lipid Panel Test

Cholesterol is a disease that doesn’t carry any symptoms, but it can increase the risk for heart and other circulatory disorders such as heart attack, stroke, and vascular dementia. Cholesterol at a high level can be harmful to a woman; not being active enough, having too much body fat, diabetes, and many other factors may lead to cholesterol. A lipid panel test is a blood test that can identify the level of cholesterol at the initial stage and can prevent high-risk factors of several heart diseases.                                                                                                                                     

Diabetes Test

 In this disease, women have high blood sugar due to problems processing or producing insulin. It can affect women with their lifestyle. Symptoms may be mild and are easy to ignore most of the time. But Symptoms like frequent urination, fatigue, skin infections, weight loss, or gain with no apparent cause are the most common symptoms which can be faced by women at the initial stages of diabetes.
