New strategies to neutralize the effect of the deadly virus

New Delhi: As the country is trying to fight against the unexpected wave of the second session of the virus, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister had a string of meetings based on the development of strategies to counter the threat associated with this fatal virus.
Modi, who was observing a Navratra fast for the seventh day, had a very tiresome schedule on Monday, as he was engaged in conversations with the Chief Ministers of the states that are mostly affected. In addition to this, the Prime Minister also had video conferences with famous doctors and the reputed pharmaceutical companies in the country.
On Monday, the government decided to provide vaccination to all people above the age of 18 years from May 1.
Om Monday, Modi had a series of meetings from morning itself. In the first phase, he took into account the current scenario of all the worst-hit states in the country.
In the second phase, a meeting on the topic of vaccination begun from 11.30 a.m.
The high-level sources reported to the IANS that Modi after having a talk with the Chief Ministers of the states like Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh wanted to know about the current situation.
Modi had given full assurance to the Chief Ministers that there shall be no dearth of oxygen, vaccine, medicines etc. He stated, “in times of crisis, the Central government stands with the states”.
Then, the Prime Minister has a meeting with the prominent leaders of BJP on the topic of West Bengal where elections are underway.
Taking into account the threat associated with the deadly virus, it was finalised that the party’s meetings in Bengal should in no way permit more than 500 people. In addition to this,there shall be no negligence in following all the Covid norms that includes social distancing and wearing of proper masks.
In the second half of the day, Modi has a pair of meeting on the management of Covid.
At 4.30 p.m, he had a video conference with the famed doctors throughout the country to get their views. The doctors voiced their opinion on the ill effects of the second strain of the virus that has hit the entire nation.
Modi also had a discussion with the doctors on the medical and health infrastructure.
Then, from 6 p.m., Modi had a video conference with the representatives of the leading pharma companies.
At the meeting, he warned the companies that there should be no crisis in the life-saving drugs.
He ordered them to enhance the production capacity of the essential drugs.
